Whale and Dolphin Safari

Embark your catamaran and head out to sea to catch a glimpse of these amazing creatures in their natural habitat.  Your skipper will brief you on what to look out for as well as an insight into these fascinating animals.  Once engines are shut down and the hydrophones in place it's time to listen out for the rhythmic 'clicking' of sperm whales, the singing of humpback whales and whistling of dolphins. Although sightings cannot be guaranteed a 90% success rate makes this trip a must for all.

Emerald Pool and Beach Pleasures

Starting with a panoramic view of Roseau. Your next stop is Dominica's beautiful Botanical Gardens, covering approx 40 acres and home to the islands National Birds.  As you proceed from the gardens you will travel through the capital Roseau then up through the Springfield Valley with it's beautiful greenery to the wonderful  Emerald Pool.  Located in the Morne Trois Piton National Park, a fifteen minute walk through exotic rainforest will take you to this 50 feet cascading waterfall.  This wonderful grotto has been featured in several movies and is an ideal place to take a swim and cool off before continuing your tour.  Next it's on through the Layou Valley to one of the most beautiful volcanic sand beaches, Mero Beach, where you can bask in the hot Caribbean sun whilst being served with a cold rum punch before returning back to base.

River to Ocean Kayaking Adventure

Sit back and take in the scenery as you make your way to the beautiful Layou River where your instructors await your arrival.  After a short introduction you will board your two-person state of the art kayak for the start of your fun-filled adventure.  Experience the thrill of steering yourself through the light rapids and admire your tropical surroundings as you make your way downstream to the river's mouth and the breathtaking entrance to the fishing village of Layou.  Watch the fishing boats as they off-load their catch and take a swim in the cool Caribbean Sea before paddling on to your exit point where a sampling of local cuisine along with a complimentary local rum punch awaits.

Wacky River Tubing Safari

GET SET to GET WET. This excursion on the Nature Island of the Caribbean, Dominica, which is also known as the Land of 365 Rivers is wet, wonderful and wacky from the word go. After a 30 minute drive you will arrive at the launch site for a safety briefing after which you will be provided with your life vest, modified inner tube and paddle before getting into the river. Once everyone is in the river your guides will set you loose to begin your journey, gently spinning and swirling in the current, taking in the changing exotic scenery at the same time. You will stop briefly to enjoy a popular Dominican pastime, river bathing, where you swim in the crystal clean waters for a few minutes before continuing down the river to your exit point. Experienced and professional guides are only a shout away to ensure your comfort and safety all the way from beginning to end. Back on land again at the Hillsborough Reception Centre refreshments will be served including rum punch and fresh fruit before you return.
