Cristóbal is a port city that resides at the entrance of Limón Bay, leading to the eastern side of the Panama Canal, hailed as the eighth Wonder of the World. Book a partial cruise through or take the train traversing Panama's famous, historical strip of water and enjoy the amazing views this incredible feat of engineering affords. Gatun Locks & Former Canal Zone

Board your air conditioned buses and enjoy a guided tour drive through the old military bases that the USA occupied on the Atlantic side before returning the Panama Canal to Panama in the year 2000. After this we will go to the Gatun Locks, which are the biggest locks at the Caribbean entrance to the canal. here you will see the 'Worlds Eighth Wonder' in action and learn how this man made wonder operates. We will then transfer back to the ship. 

Gamboa Aerial Tram

Discover the secrets of the upper rainforest canopy as you ride the famous Gamboa Rainforest Resort aerial tram.  You will traverse a mile of tropical forest for a close-up view of unique species of flora and fauna, native mammals and beautiful birds.  Your ride will take you to the top of one of the tallest mountains inside the Canal where a very soft climb through ramps will lead you to the 'lookout' for a panoramic view of the dense jungle and the Panama Canal.  After, you will visit the frog and serpetarium centre where the resident experts will teach you about the roles they play in tropical ecology.

Panama City Tour

Starting with a tour of the Gatun Locks, the largest locks of the Canal you will then head to Panama City. Steeped in history the city is a mix of modern with colonial architecture.  Your tour guide will take you through the Old Panama, founded in 1519 by Pedro Arias DA VILA,  it became a launching point for the exploration and conquest of Peru and a transit point for gold and silver headed back to Spain.  In 1671 the city was attacked and looted and destroyed by fire , the ruins still remain and are a popular tourist attraction.  Time for lunch in a local restaurant before continuing your tour of Casco Antiguo or the Colonial City founded in 1673 to replace the old city, here you will find the Colonial Catholic Cathedral, the Presidencial Palace, the National Theatre, historical monuments and La Bovedas, a beautiful waterfront promenade where the history of the French Canal can be seen engraved in the walls.
